• Please send us some images of your book collection so we can quickly evaluate it.
• We'll arrange a time for you to drop off your books, or, if possible, schedule a pick-up at your location.
• We may also consider house calls for large or exceptional collections (500+ books) in our specialty areas.
• We may be able to offer assistance with packing and transportation.
• Books should be in good condition with no significant damage, mold, or strong odors.
• Feel free to leave any behind personal items (bookmarks, notes, etc.), as those are prizes for the next owner.
• Pack your books neatly in boxes.
• Our evaluation considers condition, demand, current inventory, and alignment with our specialty areas
• We typically complete evaluations the same day, but large collections may require more time
• At this time, most of our acquisitions will be accepted as donations, though some books may be eligible for store credit
• We cannot provide receipts for tax purposes because we are not a non-profit
• All buying decisions are made at the discretion of our staff and based on our current inventory needs. Offers may vary.
• Books should be clean, dry, and free of markings
• Hardcovers with dust jackets intact
• Paperbacks with un-creased spines
• Minimal highlighting or underlining (academic texts only)
• No mold, water damage, or strong odors
• Books with excessive damage, missing pages, water damage, mold, or odors (mildew, smoke)
• Outdated textbooks & computer manuals & old encyclopedias
• Popular bestsellers outside our specialty areas
• Ex-library books (with some exceptions for rare titles)
